Summary Introduction

Introduction: Macromolecules are defined as large molecules that consist of thousands of small molecules. There are four major classes of biological macromolecules, namely lipids, carbohydrates, nucleic acids, and proteins. Lipids are heterogeneous group of compounds that are insoluble in water, and soluble in ether, alcohol, and chloroform. Fats, phospholipids, and steroids are major groups of lipids.
