Chapter 5, Problem 13Q
Summary Introduction

Introduction:

Viruses affect both humans and animals and once it enters the body, the target cell is redirected to produce more viruses. The life cycle of viruses mainly divides into two pathways: Lytic cycle and Lysogenic cycle. In the lysogeniccycle, the viral DNA is integrated into the host DNA. It does not cause lysis of the membrane of the host cell. The viral genome now replicates itself along with the host DNA, and thus transferred to the progeny cells.
