Introduction:
Genital herpes is a viral infection and considered as a sexually transmitted disease. Sexually transmitted diseases (STD) are mainly caused by viruses such as herpes viruses and papillomaviruses. AIDS, herpes, and genital warts are some of the sexually transmitted diseases caused by these viruses. A female adolescent is at more risk of STDs and she is more prone to develop the pelvic inflammatory disease (PID).
