Introduction:

The olfactory bulbs are a part of brain where interneurons form synapses with olfactory nerves and send signals in the form of action potential, to cerebral cortex of brain. The chemical cues that are present in the environment trigger the generation of action potential in the olfactory receptors. It has been hypothesized by researchers that olfactory bulbs of diurnal birds are larger as compared to the nocturnal birds.
