Substitute 38.4 g for given mass and 12.011 g/mol for molar mass in equation (1) to calculated moles of C.

Substitute 4.82 g for given mass and 1.00794 g/mol for molar mass in equation (1) to calculated moles of H.

  Moles(mol)=4.82 g1.00794 g/mol=4.78 mol
