Energy and nutrients enter the ecosystem through photosynthesis. All the photosynthetic organisms including plants, algae, and photosynthetic bacteria acquire nutrients from abiotic components of ecosystem. Nutrients are continuously recycled in the ecosystem through nutrient cycle.
