Energy and nutrients enter the ecosystem through photosynthesis Ecosystem is organized into various trophic levels, through which nutrients and energy is recycled from one form to another. All the organisms in an ecosystem are interlinked with each other forming a food chain. The average net transfer of energy from one trophic level to the next is roughly ten percent.
