To Explain: The ratio of turns on the two coils without taking the transformer apart.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:Opposition to the flow of charge is known as resistance. It is measured in ohms.
By using an ohmmeter, one can measure the resistance between the two input wires that are electrically connected. Between two leads it will show an open or very high resistance and also, between the other two it will show a small resistance. The two leads that shows a small resistance from one coil and other two from the other coil.
To calculate the ratio of the turns on the two coils, apply a known AC input source to one coil and the output voltage is measured across the other coil. This gives the ratio of turns on the two coils:
