Summary Introduction

To review:

The principal inputs as well as outputs from the cardiovascular (CV) center.

Introduction:

CV center is a part of the human brain that regulates the heart activity. It is present in medulla oblongata, which regulates the blood pressure by regulating the heart rate and the stroke volume, which is the volume of blood that is pumped from the heart's left ventricle per beat. It also regulates the hormonal, neural, and local negative feedback systems, which controls the blood flow to the specific body tissues. Thus, the CV is sending messages to two places, the heart and blood vessels and is receiving input from the brain's higher centers as well as the sensory receptors.
