Introduction:

From the lower and the middle body, the deoxygenated blood is transported to the right atrium by the IVC. It is the large vein with rigid wall and valves that prevents the backward flow of the blood. Azygos system runs on the vertebral column's both sides and connects to the superior as well as the IVC. These veins carry the deoxygenated blood to the heart's right atrium.
