Describe in words the motion plotted in Fig. 2-32 in terms of velocity, acceleration, etc. [Hint: First to duplicate the motion plotted by walking or moving your hand.]
To Describe:
The terms like velocity and acceleration.
Answer to Problem 21Q
Solution:
The velocity of the product is equal to the slope of time
which is proportional to the displacement of the object.
Given:
Explanation of Solution
When the subject start to move from the origin
at 0 s till about 20 s. The velocity is constant as the slope is uniform and hence the acceleration is 0. Thereafter, the object accelerates till about 35 s. Between 35 s to 40 s, the object is at rest as the position is same in this time interval. After 40 s, the object starts deaccelerating as the slope is negative and non-uniform.
