Eukaryotic protein synthesis is considerably slower than protein synthesis in prokaryotes.

Introduction:

Protein synthesis is a process in which cells forma polypeptide chain with the help of mRNA (messenger ribonucleic acid), tRNA (transfer RNA), and ribosomes. In eukaryotes, protein synthesis occurs in the cytoplasm, whereas in prokaryotes, transcription and translation both occur in the cytoplasm due to lack of a defined nucleus.
