Chapter 19, Problem 27RQ
Summary Introduction
To review:
Roles of large and small ribosomal subunits in protein synthesis.
Introduction:
The ribosomes are either found freely in the cytoplasm or are attached to the endoplasmic reticulum. Ribosomesplay an important role in protein synthesis in both eukaryotes and prokaryotes. The ribosomes are the sites of protein synthesis. The ribosomes have two components: the small subunit and the large subunit.
