A glycosidic bond can be described as ß-1,4-glycosidic bond and a-1,6- glycosidic bond.
Concept Introduction:
If two sugar moieties are joined together through ether linkage, then that ether linkage is known as glycosidic linkage or bond.
If polysaccharides on hydrolysis yields only glucose sugar, then that glycosidic bond is termed as glucosidic bond.
