Oxidation state of fluorine is -1 and oxidation state of oxygen is +2.

Explanation of Solution

Given compound is OF2 . In this compound, fluorine is more electronegative than oxygen. Thus, oxidation state of fluorine will be negative value (-1). OF2 is an electrically neutral compound therefore sum of the oxidation state will be zero. Calculation of oxidation state of O represented as follows:

x+2×(1)=0x=+2

Conclusion

Thus, the oxidation state of O is +2 and oxidation state of F is -1.
