With the beginning of processed foods in the twentieth century, many food additives have been introduced in our daily life, which are of both natural and synthetic origin. Sweeteners are added to foods for flavoring. Sweeteners are used to keep the calories of the food low, or in case of ailment like tooth decay, diabetes mellitus, or diarrhea.
