Question
Chapter 16, Problem 8RQ
Interpretation Introduction
Interpretation: The process that provides most of the energy for plants should be explained with equation.
Concept Introduction:The process of photosynthesis is used by plants to convert light energy into chemical energy. The process of photosynthesis in plants involves capturing of the light energy which converts the reactants (water, carbon dioxide and minerals) into the organic compounds along with oxygen as a by-product.The process is performed in different ways by different species, but the process always begins with the absorption of light energy by the reaction centres which contains chlorophyll pigments.
