Summary Introduction
The sporulation in Bacillus subtilis is controlled by phosphorelay posttranslational modification of proteins and alternate sigma factors. In the two-component signal transduction system, the enzyme sensor kinase transfers a phosphoryl group directly to the response regulators. The phosphorelay systems are involved in more complex pathways in which participation of more proteins occurs during the transfer of the phosphoryl groups. The phosphorelay systems are the important control measures that are found to be observed in the endospore formation and quorum sensing.
