Summary Introduction

A sensory receptor involved in the transduction of chemical signal into an action potential is referred to as a chemoreceptor. The Aer receptor is an aerotaxis receptor in E. coli, which guides the organism to specific oxygen and energy-generating niches. It is involved in the indirect sensing of the attractants.
