Concept Introduction:

The bond formed between the hydrogen atom and other small electronegative atoms such as fluorine, oxygen and nitrogen is termed as hydrogen bond. It occurs in polar molecules that have dipole-dipole interaction. Due to the presence of one electron in hydrogen atom, it forms one covalent bond. Hydrogen bond is represented by dotted line.
