To Design:An experiment for Person B to show Person S where the water on the glass surface of cold water came from.

Answer to Problem 23SSC
Water droplets present on the surface of glass occurred due to condensation. And the droplets are condensed vapor from the air.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction: Water is present in three forms in nature: solid, liquid and gas. Solid is ice, liquid is ordinary water and gas is steam or vapor. Water can easily be changed from one form to another. It is changed from liquid to solid through freezing, from liquid to gas through vaporization and from gas to liquid through condensation.
Experiments for Person B to explain Person S where the water on the glass surface came from is given below:
Step 1: Take a glass of cold water and cover the mouth with a plastic wrap or paper that closes the mouth of the glass completely.
Step 2: Mark the water level with sticky tape or paint that could not be removed by water to mark the initial water level on the glass.
Step 3: Observe if the presence of droplets is causing the water to drop. If the water level drops and still droplets are formed on the surface of the glass then the droplets did not come from the water leaking from the glass. And if the water level has dropped, the droplets came from the leaking water.
On a hot, humid day, the droplets present on the glass of cold water occurred due to condensation. These droplets are condensed vapor from the atmosphere.
Conclusion: The water droplets present on the glass of cold water are condensed vapor.
