Interpretation:
Prepare a PowerPoint, poster, or other presentation (as directed by your instructor) to share with the class.
Do a historical search for change in air quality environmental regulations over time. Have these standards become more or less strict since the passage of environmental laws in 1970s? Discuss why you think these changes were made. Be on the lookout for changes in both direction on the pollutant and the time period.
Concept Introduction: The Clean Air Act was revised and signed into law by President George H. W. Bush on November 15, 1990. The Act had specific amendments which were targeted to thwart four major threats to the environment and to the health of millions of people: acid rain, urban air pollution, toxic air emissions, and stratospheric ozone depletion.
