Interpretation: Water vapor is a greenhouse gas that is present in significant concentrations in the Earth’s atmosphere. Water is also a product of the combustion of fossil fuels. Why is there little concern about increasing atmospheric water vapor and its contribution to global warming? There is a correlation with water temperature and water vapor concentration, so how does this change affect your analysis?
Concept Introduction:
Water vapor is the most important greenhouse gas. When there is cloud the temperature is high because water vapor traps heat and acts as a greenhouse gas. Now as the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere increases it increases the temperature. This cause more water to evaporate and we get a positive feedback.
