Photosynthesis is one of the mostessential processes that occur on theearth’s surface that transforms light energy into oxygen and carbohydrates as food for plants. It is dependent on carbon dioxide, light, and temperature. The light that falls on the leaves is absorbed, which results in electron excitation. This converts light energy into chemical form of energy, which isutilized by the plant. Variations in the intensity of light change the rate of photosynthesis.
