Summary Introduction

Tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle is a metabolic pathway in which oxaloacetate is formed from citric acid. TCA cycle is also called as the Krebs cycle. This pathway was first discovered by Sir Hans Adolf Kreb during 1937. TCA cycle metabolizes carbohydrate, proteins, and fats and generates an ATP molecule from it.
