The Variable $X$ is discrete.

Explanation of Solution

The random variable $X$ is the exact distances of a sample of discus throws.

As the discus throw is a simple, well designed movement so it is a discrete skill and the exact distances of a sample of discus throws are countable, so the variable $X$ is discrete.

Therefore the Variable $X$ is discrete.
