Ozone layer is naturally formed (or produced) in the stratosphere. This layer is also defined as ring of protective gases.
The most essential measure used in the research of ozone is a Dobson unit. One DU (or Dobson Unit) is described to be 0.01 mm thickness (physical) at standard temperature and pressure (or STP).
It is important for Dobson’s data to be confirmed by satellite photos because it represents that how large or how fast ozone was depleting from stratosphere.
