The sampling method is not valid and so the data obtained is not correct to answer number of student participation out of 576 students.
Explanation of Solution
Given information:
- Purpose of sampling is to determine the student’s participation in recycling program.
- The participant of the survey were 25% teenagers from the mall.
As the participant of the survey are 25% of teenagers from mall , so there is no surety that all the teenagers are from the school which means the sampling also includes those who do not go to the school and cannot participate in recycling program.
So the sampling method is not valid as it includes the participants who cannot be part of recycling program.
As the sampling is not valid , it cannot be predicted from given data that how many out of 576 school students will participate in recycle process.
