Introduction:

The oval window is found in the middle ear along with three auditory ossicles (bones), namely malleus, incus, and stapes. The oval window captures the sound vibrations from the outer ear and transmits it to the inner ear through a series of structures to reach the basilar membrane that produce nerve impulses.
