DIETARY REFERENCE INTAKE (DRI):

The National Academies' Dietary Reference Intake (DRI) is a set of nutrition recommendations developed by the National Academy of Medicine (NAM) (United States). It was first proposed in 1997 to increase the scope of the existing RDAs (Recommended Daily Allowances). The DRI values differ from those used in the United States and Canada on food and dietary supplement labels, which utilise Reference Daily Intakes (RDIs) and Daily Values ( percent DV).

The Dietary Reference Intakes (DRIs) are made up of the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA), Adequate Intake (AI), Tolerable Upper Intake Level (UL), and Estimated Average Requirement (EAR) (EAR).
