Quantitative Research Question: 2. What role does local and mainstream media play in informing the public about racial and ethnic inequalities in America? Mixed Methodology Research Question: 3. How does the collected data on police misconduct in America used to better improve the training by law enforcement personnel to combat misconduct and police brutality?
Examine Research Questions The question that I would like to explore is question three How does the collected data on police misconduct in America used to better improve the training by law enforcement personnel to combat misconduct and police brutality? The research question represents the types of research questions I would use in my field of study because it allows the researcher to not be restricted with either qualitative or quantitative research problem but use both as a guide to collect more data on the research topic that is being investigated. While the research will take longer since approaching a research problem with mixed methodology does take longer and is more costly in research it would be more beneficial to the audience if the research problem was conveyed in depth and provided the numerical findings of the problem. What I noticed in the creation of the research questions was the thought process that I had to use in order to create the question. What I found surprising into the creation of the questions was that for each methodology the research questions may not align with each other if you are unaware with the audience of choice.
