Module Four Question 1 Mark believes that people who create apps restricting or changing interaction with social media might be interested in his research. Think about the research you've collected so far. What are some potential applications for this research in the real world? In other words, what are some ways that this research could be used? In the research that I've done, I believe that social media play a huge role in people doing crimes/drugs/etc as I stated previously. I believe that first and foremost, it's someone's environment that has a major impact on crimes/drugs but I believe that social media heightens those things. Social media does this by broadcasting an ideology that everyone wants to live but will not be able to. I believe that if we look at some countries outside of the US that has limited access to social media, we will not see the same amount of crimes. Module Four Question 2 On the previous page, you identified possible applications of your research. Research whether anyone has investigated or created those applications. Note your findings here. There were tons of articles that I found on social media and how it impacts the number of crimes. I've used several when conducting my research. One article stated that it's good and bad things about social media and how it relates to crimes. The people that are looking to commit crimes are using social media to track the location of rich individuals, such as the Kim Kardashian Robbery situations but they people that are not looking to commit crimes and are fans of that particular person, usually ends up becoming internet detectives and tries to solve the crimes before the police. Module Four Question 3 After reviewing your initial list of questions, are there any that you have yet to answer by searching credible sites and gathering C.R.A.P.P.O. approved sources along the way? Make a note of those questions here, as well as your plan for answering them. What triggers someone to want to commit a crime? What part of the brain makes someone feel like committing a crime is the best option?
Module Four Question 4 1. Edit the response to give your answer (YES or NO), and then briefly explain why. NO, because that source is over 10 years old. Also, a lot of the social media sites that are named are not as big as they were 10 years ago. Module Four Question 5 2. Edit the response to give your answer (YES or NO), and then briefly explain why. YES because they gave data to back up their back up their post. However, it is slightly outdated so I would recommend using a more recent article if possible. Module Four Question 6 Write a research question for Mark. Please note, there is no one correct answer. By limiting our freedom of speech and limiting the things that we are exposed to on social media, how will this impact someone's impression of life? By extending the use of social media, how will that impact someone's self image and how what impact does it have?
