ANOVA This assignment scenario is the Vold Anti-Poverty Foundation is comparing three employment programs for former foster care youth to determine which leads to best outcomes. The three programs are a vocational skills training program, a mentorship program, and a job placement service. The foundation collected data six months after the youth completed each program and the youth were asked to provide their monthly incomes. An analysis of variance (ANOVA) was utilized to determine if there is a significant difference between the mean monthly income across the groups of program type. The results showing the F Statistic of F(2, 40) = 7.180 with a p-value of 0.002 (p < .05) revealed a significance difference across the groups of program type. With this data, the null hypothesis will be rejected. Post hoc comparisons indicated that the average monthly income between Vocational Training Program (N = 14, M = 640.000, SD = 330.524) and Mentorship Program (N = 14, M = 289.286, SD = 229.698) are significantly different, p < .05. Additionally, the average monthly income between Mentorship Program and Job Placement Service (N = 15, M = 620.000, SD = 260.357) are significantly different, p < .05. However, there is no significant differences between Vocational Training Program and Job Placement Program, p > .05. Upon analyzing the results, if we are to consider the average monthly income (mean) of each program type as the outcome we can say that Job Placement Service and Vocational Training Program had the best outcomes. Considering that those two groups have the highest mean and that they are not significantly different.
