1. What is the difference between leadership and management ? The difference between leadership and management is that leadership takes action of leading and a management is being in control of things or people. (Matthew 25:44-Matthew 30, Proverbs 29:11, 1 Timothy 4:12) 2. How do you define management ? Management is dealing with controlling things and controlling people. 3. What’s the biblical foundation of leadership ? The biblical foundation of leadership is that leaders must teach and show importance of religious background. Leaders must display integrity by being truthful to the community which they are serving. Leaders can not be prejudice in showing The Love of God and and God justice (Hebrews 13:7, 1 Timothy 4:12, 1 Timothy 3:2, Philippians 2:3, Galatians 6:9) 4. According to our studies what should be your churches most valuable resource ? Finance and being a good steward is the most valuable resource in our churches. Proverbs 13:11 and Proverbs 21:20 teaches a wise man will save for the future. Money little by little does grow. Deuteronomy 8:18, God gives us the ability to produce wealth. Proverbs 10:22, The blessings of the Lord bring wealth. Proverb’s 10:, Diligent hands bring wealth. 2 Corinthians 9:7, God love da cheerful giver. Without finance church Ed can not operate to the full capacity because that resource supplies the utilities and many other things needed. 5. Define what it means to delegate and listen and explain the size ways to delegate. To delegate means someone is sent or someone that is authorized to represent others. 1. Prepare or pick the task is far more than a way of getting the people 2. Clearly define the task: pick the person who like to be given work that no one else wants. 3. Be clear about time:make sure that you plan with the person that is sent to what the person entails. 4. Define authority: Having meetings with those that are sent out. 5. Indemnify checkpoints: at each meeting make sure a person is available to answer questions when they need the support. 6. Debrief: let it be a two way discussion about how the person task went. Define communication and the role that listening plays in the communication process Communication indicates that a person have the ability to recover and interpret information. Without active listening skills then you can not receive and interpret the message. As a result the communication process will break down and the person speaking can very quickly become irritated. James 1:9 know this my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger. Proverbs 12:25, Anxiety weighs down the heart but a kind word cheers it up. Identify at least 2 people closest to you in a ministry working relationship and what are communication barriers that exist between you and these people. What can be done to minimize theft barriers. Most of the time barriers are lack of communication and misunderstanding recommendations even when they are very good for the ministry. The only way it can be resolved is to learn how to tel others Indra into consideration and realize that your not the only one that have ideas that can work.
