Respond to the following prompts in a minimum of 175 words:
Consider a recent interaction you have had with a co-worker or item that you saw in the media that might have included logical errors.

Among the ‘water-cooler’ type discussions I have had with my co-workers in the past few weeks the one that first comes
to mind involves the recent school shooting in Uvalde, Texas. In this situation there have been many family members and friends of the victims that have placed the blame solely on the feet of the Uvalde schools police chief. In fact, I have read many headline statements that and listened to many news reports that deliver this type of sentiment.
While it is my understanding that it may be true that the ineffective leadership of the police chief did not help put a stop to the gunman’s reign of terror immediately, it was not the chief that pulled the trigger that wounded and killed the victims. Logic and reason tell us that, the gunman that opened fire on the innocent victims that filled the classrooms of Robb Elementary did not do so with the encouragement or support of the police chief. Therefore, a statement such as “ the police chief is at fault for the shootings” is not true, because he may bare some responsibility in stopping the crime he was not the perpetrator.
