2 PRODUCT semisweet chocolate baking chips PERSONA Rachelle, 40 PLACE CHANGES IN THE MARKETPLACE Change in the marketplace: One recent change in the marketplace is the issues directly related to the COVID-19 pandemic. How the change addresses the distribution of products to my persona: The COVID-19 pandemic has caused many issues when it comes to the sale and purchasing of many items. Within the target audience of my persona during the pandemic many chose to move towards online shopping to avoid the potential exposure to COVID-19. Our target audience is of the generation that does still enjoy shopping in stores but a lot have moved to online shopping because either their local store is out of the item needed or purely for convenience. During the pandemic the supply chain was effected greatly which forced some buyers to try new products because they were simply unable to purchase the one they typically did. DISTRIBUTION CHANNEL Potential distribution channel and why it is appropriate for my product and persona: The distribution channel for my persona would be retail. Our product is a food product used primarily in baked goods. Having the product in traditional brick and mortar retail stores and also available through online retailers exposes the product to a larger customer base. Our target audience is essentially millennials, millennials like to get what they want and have it when they want it.
