What did you learn? Several statements through the articles stood out to me, but the one that made the most sense was the following. The simplest tool within the spatial statistics toolbox can be a powerful communicator to spatial pattern when used in conjunction with animation. Basically, meaning that the simplest of tools at our disposal are our most powerful when we have the proper understanding and knowledge. The one concept that I gained true knowledge on from this sections is that we are able to create new tools but combining together tools that already exists, which is the easiest way to create something new. From the images in the articles, I noticed that they are able to compare data over a time period, using a mapping spatial pattern, which is something that is new to me. What additional questions do you have? Does finding the mean, median, and mode help clarify possible spatial patterns when creating maps or graphs, along with standard deviation? What additional things do you want to learn? I would like to learn more about creating new tools within our toolbox sets that can help with the creation of maps.
