Memo to Communication Team
TO: Communications Team
FROM: Emme Chadwick, Communications Manager
DATE: October 17, 2023
SUBJECT: Analysis of Audience and Speaker+ Announcement
As we begin to navigate changes within the company to improve internal communications, it’s vitally important to the success of this development to identify key internal and external audiences. These audience members will be instrumental in the crafting of our new regulations and guidelines. Furthermore, it is encouraged that on top of the research and analysis included within this memo, you also conduct your own findings and draw conclusions based upon them. Finally, the successful launch and understanding of the new IG product, Speaker+ will also be discussed in the following memo to ensure clarity and a profitable launch. Knowing this product,
its pros and its possible cons can help further the Communication Team’s resources when helping the rest of International Gadgets be on track for success. Internal and External Audiences
When observing the internal audience inside International Gadgets, understanding the cultural, ethnic, and religious background of employees will help navigate any misunderstandings or miscommunications. Gadgets that’s inclusive and inviting. With the company reaching all areas of the world, it is important the communication guidelines and the articles printed thereafter are geared towards these specific markets. Furthermore, our external audiences that we will be reaching are primarily upper management departments in large corporate organizations that wish to utilize our products such as Speaker+. When speaking to upper management individuals, it’s pertinent that the facts about how our products can be used are presented in a neat and organized manner. Additionally, we can assume that those we are marketing to and supporting externally will be interacting with International Gadget’s products daily and will be needing help mainly from the Tech Support team while solving problems. When thinking of trouble shooting these issues, it’s important that the terminology that is used in Customer Support, Marketing, Sales, and Product Development is all alike in nature and simplified so that customers are able to understand it. Successful Speaker+ Product Announcement As International Gadgets prepares for the launch of the new product, Speaker+, having a solid foundation of terms and concepts that will be used internally versus externally will be important in defining early on. Consequently, when constructing the Knowledge Based Articles that are set to be released as part of our new communications strategy, the ‘ins and outs’ of this product will be clearly defined such as the specifications of its capabilities, frequently asked questions, and common issues that were found in product development. These Knowledge Based Articles and the training that will follow will be crucial in ensuring all employees are up to speed with what the product entails. It will also allow "...individuals to bring their diverse perspectives to problem solving, which in turn increases their success at arriving at solutions more efficiently
