Introduction
In what follows, I will discuss some of the skills I have gained through this course that have developed my skills as a student. I was able to learn to manage my time and problems, I was able to figure out how to communicate more effectively, how to think more critically in certain situations and apply certain study skills.
LEARNING STYLES
My learning style is tactile/kinaesthetic, also known as active learning. The more I learned about myself, the more I realized the type of learner I am. To learn, I prefer doing what is asked of me rather than merely listening to explanations.
For
kinesthetic learning
, it is not something that I get the opportunity to do often. It is hands-on learning (successbydesignplanners, n.d.). However; when there are study sessions and interactive study games for some of my classes I do enjoy it, and it usually helps me understand things I may not have before.
READING SKILLS
Reflective Learning allows for the recall of a lived experience to help develop critical thinking skills and improve future actions due to the analysis of the lived experience. Reflective Learning is the exploration of experiences in order to make human beings more aware of their actions (Avendano, 2021).
Teaching reading as a fundamental skill is an important part of a student's early education. Many of the students in my school, including those who have a natural gift for reading, would rather play with their friends on the playground than read a good book (TeachingEnglish, n.d.).
In fact, I never realized how much I was mistaken about my reading abilities until I took this course. This class has greatly improved my reading skills, so I can now say that I have

greatly improved my ability to read. I have gained skills in analyzing works of art and interpreting words in new and meaningful ways as a result of this course. Since I have acquired the knowledge of how to use criticism effectively, I am now in a position to make a greater contribution to understanding all types of literature, since once I am able to use criticism effectively, I will be able to comprehend them more deeply. This English class has been the most
useful class I've taken in my life as far as learning goes.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
The ability to communicate with others is one of the most essential interpersonal skills that people need to be able to function on a daily basis. Communication is defined as a process of interaction, meaning, and understanding that occurs between people (Childs et al. 2009). Putting it another way, when a message is sent from one individual to another, whether they will receive it, interpret it, and understand it, or misunderstand it, the message is sent from one individual to another. Depending on the situation, communication can be split up into verbal and non-verbal communication. The concept of nonverbal communication refers to communication that takes place without the use of verbal language, and is as important as verbal communication, if not more so.
Despite the fact that effective communication seems to be something that happens without conscious thought, it is quite common that something goes off track when we are trying to communicate with people. There might be conflict if people have different perspectives, or if they might misunderstand us or have frustration, or if they might misunderstand. In the work place, in relationships, and in college, this can cause us a lot of problems.
Having good communication skills can make us more connected to others, improve our teamwork, and improve our overall emotional and social health, as well as enhance our problem-
solving skills and build significant respect and trust for each other. In this regard, it would be
