Art as a ritual is the theory in which the artist or a group of people who share common beliefs and use different forms of objects and or actions to show and create a symbolic significance. One weakness of the art of ritual theory is that it does not account for today's common or modern art. One strength I found is that the Art as a ritual theory has is the most beautiful representation of a scene of togetherness who share the same or similar beliefs and to praise God. Freeland states, “The ritual reinforces the communities' relations to god or Nature through gestures that everyone knows and understands “(Freeland 4). That to me is so beautiful coming together to create something. Whereas the theory of disinterestedness is the theory in which. One disadvantage or weakness of this theory is that it does not give that feeling of emotional connection. One strength of the theory of disinterestedness is that you or me or we can depict it in our own way.
