The topic that I have chosen to write my conference paper on is about how humans are destroying the planet and that the world would be better off without them. >There are people that argue that Earth would be better without us around just because of our impact in global warming. >There are some people that argue that “No instant of existence in Earths past or future can be considered better or worse.” Ecosystems aren’t designed around any specific organism. >There are people that are unsure and argue both sides of the story. If you get rid of humans instantly then it would throw the remaining ecosystem into a mad fanatic mess. But humans do a lot of things that hurt Earth. >Other articles talk about how since we are the dominant species globally, we have a right to remain at the top of the food chain.

>Genre: A conference paper(presentation) >Rhetor: I am the rhetor in this situation presenting information that I have come to know through my research. >Audience: I am presenting this information to a group of well-educated college students. >Purpose: My purpose is trying to convince and further educate my audience that the topic that I have chosen is important and should be considered with great weight. >Exigence: I will present in a way that emphasizes the need for change. If we don’t change now, all can be lost. >Kairos: This is happening right now. At the rate that we are going, it won’t be too much longer before everything falls apart. I want my writing to look very neat and professional. There may be some small errors here and there, but I want it to feel like an educated person that spent some real time on it is writing it. I think slowly writing this paper piece by piece will help me to formulate new ideas along the way. With each passing day, I can go back and reread sections that I have written before and make adjustments to them. Something that I want to improve upon with this project is my ability to find credible sources. I can find just about any article arguing either side of an argument, but I want to find reliable sources that I can insert into my paper.
