Chapter 9.9, Problem 2MQ
Summary Introduction

The small and solid support to which most genes are arranged and fixed spatially in a well-known pattern are generally called as gene chips. The microarrays estimate the RNA or DNA that hybridize to the sequence of DNA on the chip. When the denature of DNA occurs, the single strands of DNA can form double stranded hybrid molecules with other molecules of nucleic acid by almost or complementary base pairing. This process is called as hybridization or nucleic acid hybridization.

Briefly describe the steps or methods for studying genes.  Start with targeting a gene region and end with gel electrophoresis. How does using gel electrophoresis help to determine the genotypes of individuals?
In an experiment assay, sometimes there are several dilutions involved.0.5 mL of (Bovine serum albumin) BSA is pipetted into 0.5 mL of PhosphateBuffer Solution (PBS).Then 0.2 mL of the mixture is pipetted into 0.8 mL of PBS.What is the total dilution factor for this assay?
