  $x^2-\left(2\times x\times 12\right)+c$  (1)

As, $a^2-2ab+b^2={(a-b)}^2$

Compare equation (1) with $a^2-2ab+b^2={(a-b)}^2$

  $a=x$ and $b=12$

Put value of a and b in $a^2-2ab+b^2={(a-b)}^2$

  $x^2-\left(2\times x\times 12\right)+{12}^2={(x-12)}^2$  (2)

Now, compare equation (1) and (2)

  $c={12}^2$

Hence,

  $c=144$
