Chapter 9, Problem 63P
Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation:

Reason for acetone increasing the yield of alkyl iodide in the reaction of alkyl chloride with potassium iodide has to be explained.

Concept Introduction:

Aprotic solvent are polar solvent molecules which do not have hydrogen bonded to oxygen to nitrogen.

The stronger base is always a better nucleophile in an aprotic solvent.

SN2 reaction is that involves the exchange of one halogen atom for another. It is an equilibrium reaction, but the reaction by using a large excess of the halide salt.

Can u help me figure out the reaction mechanisms for these, idk where to even start
Hi, I need your help with the drawing, please. I have attached the question along with my lab instructions. Please use the reaction from the lab only, as we are not allowed to use outside sources. Thank you!
