Summary Introduction

Introduction:

The leg bones are the tibia and the fibula. The tibia is the weight bearing bone of the leg and lies on the medial side of the leg. It is also called as the shin bone. The fibula is a slender bone, which is located on the lateral side of the leg. The fibula helps in muscle attachments. It does not have a role in weight bearing. The tarsal bones are the bones of the foot and are made of seven irregularly shaped bones. The talus is the most important bone among the tarsal bones.
