Introduction:
Spongy bone is also called cancellous bone is a porous type of bones. They are highly vascularized and contain red blood marrow. They are present in the epiphysis part of the bone which is surrounded by compact bone. The arrangement of trabeculae in the spongy bone reduces the density of the long bones and supports the bone to bear the tension.

Add recovery broth to both tubes.
Incubate both tubes in a 37 C water bath for 5 minutes.
