Concept introduction:
The primary skeletal structure of any vertebrate is the bone. The Bone not only gives a specific shape to the body but also protects the delicate visceral organs from mechanical and physical damage. Compact bone and spongy bone are the two inner bone structures. These are considered to be the two basic structural bone types.
