Introduction:
The skeletal structure is shown in two dimensions where carbon atoms are shown by vertices of line segments. Solid lines used to show bonds between molecules. Double bonds are shown by the two lines and triple bonds are shown by triple lines between the atoms in a structure.
Omega number represents the specific position of the first double bond in a fatty acid chain when numbering is done from the methyl end of the fatty acid. It is denoted by the symbol
