Introduction:

Body temperature regulation is an important homeostasis activity. Homeostasis prevents sudden rise or sudden drop in the body temperature. The regulation of body temperature is controlled by central nervous system. On the basis of ability to regulate body temperature there are two types of animals: endotherm and ectotherm. Endotherms can regulate their body temperature and ectotherms are incapable of regulating their own body temperature.
