The correlation coefficient is a one of statistical measure of the strength between the two variables. It has no particular unit. It defines the ranges between two numerical values which is -1 and 1. It cannot measure in any particular unit therefore it also cannot be measured in the inches and it does not affected when changing from one unit to another unit for example from inches to centimetres and pounds to kilograms.
